Pangkor Laut is a private island located about 5 kilometers west of the coast of Malaysia.
Here the unique shooting with star photographer Mayk Azzato and Elena Cheurina took place. There is only one resort and pure luxury on this island: The Pangkor Laut Resort.
Only a fraction of the island was built on with the 140 villas and 8 estates.
The wooden buildings blend seamlessly into the tropical forest. Almost as if nature had dictated the architecture and shaped the roofs so that the trees could continue to grow undisturbed.
Living dreams come true on the water and on land
The unique resort fits perfectly into its natural surroundings and offers guests absolute living dreams. The Spa Villas are private bungalows on stilts above the sea, with direct access to the Spa Village. Like the Sea Villas, each bungalow has a spacious bathroom, a large balcony that invites you to sunbathe and incomparable views over the Malacca Strait. All villas are connected by paths or wooden bridges, providing easy access to the secluded beaches and resort facilities.
Only a few meters away from the white sandy beach are the Beach Villas with breathtaking sea views. The Hill Villas are located in the hills in the middle of the rainforest and offer a wonderful view over tropical gardens, the sea and further to the larger island of Pangkor. The Pavarotti Suite is nestled between the beautiful Hill Villas and was already inhabited by the world famous tenor Luciano Pavarotti. The elegant Hill Suite with one bedroom is an ideal retreat to relax and enjoy the unique ambience of Pangkor Laut. In the large and luxurious living room you will find a tasteful tribute to Luciano Pavarotti with some pictures from his private collection. The suite also includes a large balcony with breathtaking views over the rainforest and sea and a luxurious open-roofed bathroom.
Culinary variety at the highest level
Dining at Pangkor Laut Resort is like a festival of culinary arts. Fine, local ingredients are transformed by the chefs into extraordinary taste experiences. At Fisherman’s Cove Restaurant, you can enjoy the unique symphony of western grill, fresh seafood and Italian cuisine.
The open show kitchen, an incredible view and state-of-the-art design invite hotel guests to take an exciting journey through Asian cuisine. The extraordinary design concept of Uncle Lim’s Kitchen and the phenomenal location on a rocky outcrop make the dinner a special experience. The restaurant is named after the chef of the same name, who has been pampering guests with Chinese home cooking since the resort opened. All dishes are made from local ingredients, which are individually adapted to the guest’s taste.
The Royal Beach Club, overlooking the infinity pool, offers a wide selection of Asian and Western classics at lunchtime. In the evening it transforms into a chic chill-out lounge. Delicious, light lunch is served at Chapman’s Bar, located on Emerald Bay. The Jamu Bar in the Spa Village offers healthy lunch snacks and intimate, private dinners. In the Feast Village, you can enjoy a relaxed breakfast in the morning. There is also a patisserie, café, chef’s table and wine cellar. The resort offers a full range of pan-Asian cuisine.
Experience untouched nature and the culture of the country
Pangkor Laut Resort offers guests a variety of activities. Of course, the incomparable Emerald Bay is the centre of attention. This proverbial dream beach is one of the 10 best beaches in the world and like everything else is reserved for hotel guests. To get there, adventurous people can cross the two million year old rainforest together with a guide. Otherwise a shuttle service runs several times a day.
Pangkor Laut Resort combines natural beauty, Malaysian culture and pure luxury to a place of relaxation where unforgettable moments are created.
